PSA: #NYXatSHOPPERS // #NYXCANADA

I've been collecting a few NYX bits and bobs since the very beginnings of my obsessions with makeup. Gone are the days we had to scour for hard-to-find NYX collections online paired with inexpensive international shipping. NYX has been available at Rexall and some independent stores but the variety is often limited. I got excited when Target came to Canada with it's plethora of NYX products but that excitement faded when Target Canada went bankrupt and exited the market. For the longest time, youtube videos featuring NYX products made me very, very sad.  

I never thought I'd say this... but thank goodness for mergers and acquisitions. In 2014, L'Oreal announced that it had signed an agreement to acquire NYX Cosmetics. In terms of business model and processes, L'Oreal is a multinational corporation with ridiculous economies of scale - a huge marketing budget, global distribution channels, etc. L'Oreal's acquisition of NYX is likely the reason why NYX is becoming so readily available in Canada. 

Now, all I have to do is pop over to my local Shoppers Drug Mart to find all the amazing products and rainbows of colour at affordable prices that NYX has to offer. OH. And I've figured out how I want to spend all my Optimum points. 

I have nothing but love for all the products I've tried thus far. So it's no surprise that I was squealing with excitement when a few of the newer NYX products showed up in the mail. Included in a cute little NYX makeup bag was the NYX Liquid Suede Lipstick in Sway ($10), the NYX Matte Finish Long Lasting Setting Spray ($10), the NYX Vivd Brights Liquid Liner in Vivid Escape ($10) and the NYX High Definition Blush in Soft Spoken ($8), all of which I'm stoked to test out.
