Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Mother + Studded Kiss Lipstick in Tijuana // Fall 2015

Kat Von D is killing it with the beauty products. 16 (!!!) new Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks ($24 each) and 9 new shades of the Studded Kiss Lipsticks ($25 each). 

First and foremost, we need to take a moment for the packaging. If the packaging of your makeup said something about you, then own anything from Kat Von D Beauty and you would be considered COOL AF or BAMF or both. 

Sephora Online says that the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks are full-coverage, long-wearing in a smooth matte finish. The finish is completely matte. Mind you, it's comfortable for a matte lipstick but most certainly drying on the lips. 

I agree with Sephora/KVD's claims, though there's one big caveat to the long-wearing thing. The Liquid Lipstick works much like a nail polish in that the "liquid" part needs to dry down in order to stay put. For the Liquid Lipstick, anything oily (food, lip balm, etc.) is like polish remover and will decrease the longevity of the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick, especially in the inner rim of the lips. So, if you don't plan on eating anything that's deliciously oily, it will last all day long and then some. 

Mother has been sold out since it hit shelves in early August (I was lucky enough to receive it as a press sample). It's is one of those special pinky mauve colours that looks boring in the tube but fabulous on the lips. It's natural but still stands out enough to make a statement.
