Let me start by saying that this is my FAVOURITE drugstore foundation of the moment. Here's why...
The Wet N Wild Photo Focus Foundation ($7.99 CAD) promises flashback-free and flawless photographs in all lighting conditions. And the brand has got some research to back it up. The foundation was tested with 700 selfies in 7 different lighting conditions - clear blue skies, outdoors PM, indoors PM, electronic flash, fluorescent light, bathroom light and night club light. I tested the foundation in different sorts of lighting and the product is true to the claims made by the brand.
Sidenote: if there's one thing to dislike about the product... it's the applicator/bottle. What in the world is this paddle applicator? It's not very hygienic or convenient. Pumps > Paddles, all day every day. I typically apply the foundation onto the back of my hand, then go in with a beauty blender or brush to prevent contaminating the product in the bottle.

The range is impressive for the drugstore. My winter shade is 366C Buff Beige which is a perfect match for my current winter colouring.
This particular foundation is very thin and watery. To the touch, it reminds me of the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation as it feels a bit oily, but the Photo Focus is actually oil-free. The foundation is like second-skin. It glides over the face evenly, hiding dryness and imperfections yet without looking heavy. On application, it feels like I'm blending nothing but water onto my face. In terms of coverage, it's medium and I find that my dark circles and raised zits/bumps require a heavy duty concealer. The finish is very natural (not too matte or too glowy).
When set with a small amount of powder, the foundation lasts around 8-9 hours. It doesn't break down on my nose or shift around on my chin, so my skin's textural issues stay concealed.
All in all, I think the Wet N Wild Photo Focus Foundation is the bomb dot com. The formulation melds well with my skin. Furthermore, the shade range is pretty darn fantastic and it's selfie-approved. Drugstore foundations these days are in the $15 to $20 range. If I was in my teenage years, my allowance would not be able to cover that. Thankfully, the Wet N Wild Photo Focus Foundation is only $7.99.
In addition to the Photo Focus Foundation, the Wet N Wild Photo Focus Collection also features a Photo Focus Concealer available in 6 shades and a Photo Focus Pressed Powder available in 8 shades. I have yet to get my hands on the correct shades of either but I will update you if and when I do.
