This time every year, Make Up For Ever releases 6 easy Halloween looks - three GLAM and three GHOUL. No costume required, just your face and a few makeup bits.
Make Up For Ever has partnered with Sephora to bring you video tutorials and product recommendations (including Pro SFX) - all of which can be found here. The GLAM looks are the Eternal Goddess, Darling Deer and Creature of the Night. The GHOUL looks are a Sugar Skull, Glampire and the Walking Undead.
This year, I re-created the GLAMPIRE look. It's on the GHOUL side of things but I think the dark lip makes it appear quite GLAM.
I started with a too-pale base. Optionally, you could mix in a white lipstick or the NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencils or use white face paint instead of foundation.
For the eyes, I did a more colourful eye than I'm used to - a metallic brick red on the lid blended with a purple and dark brown in the crease. I lined the eyes with Make Up For Ever's Aqua Black and we need to take a moment to talk about how amazing it is. Aqua Black is a matte cream shadow and I could honestly use it for every Halloween look EVER. In addition, it doubles as a stellar long-lasting, waterproof eyeliner.
On the lips, I used OCC's Ready to Wear Lip Tar in Black Dahlia. I really dislike the (ironically) difficult to wear formulation that is forever bleeding outside my lip lines. In this case the bleeding was quite fitting. I lined my lips with Aqua Black, applied Black Dahlia to the centre of the lips and then used an eyeliner brush to drag the product into two fang-like shapes on my chin.
Later on, I added some false lashes and pop art details - contours of the face, a nice big ol' mole, a few extra bottom lashes. AND VOILA!
