Defy gravity with your lashes. That's what the New York Color Big Bold Angel Lash Mascara ($4.99) says it offers. According to NYC, "angel lashes" give a wide-eyed look, pure, and innocent yet so alluring...full-bodied lashes, fresh and full-on fluttery. I like the sound of that.
The brush reminds me a lot of the Rimmel Wonder'Lash Lift Me Up Mascara (it's not surprising because they're both under the Coty Cosmetics umbrella). It's equally as difficult to work with but yields some pretty good results.
This time around, I skipped the "before" photo because my lashes don't really look like anything to begin with. The end result is pretty fab. The first coat adds a little length but not much volume. Then after a couple more coats you end up with thicker, fuller lashes that aren't overly clumpy. Plus, this mascara doesn't smudge (even in 30C temperatures + city humidity) and is not too difficult to remove. I would highly suggest this mascara if you're looking for some good curl and volume.
In summary... Does it lengthen? A little. Does it volumize? For sure. Does it clump? After 5+ coats. Does it smudge? No. Does it droop? No.
