Is it just me or do the essence 3D Eyeshadows ($3.99 each) bear an uncanny resemblance to the Hourglass Modernist Eyeshadow Palettes?
While the wavy textured eyeshadows might look similar, the essence 3D eyeshadows are in no way dupes for Hourglasses latest eyeshadow launches. essence is about 120391283091283 times less expensive, and the texture isn't quite as finely milled.
The essence 3D Eyeshadows come in 6 colour combination duos - Irresistible Choco Cupcake, Caramel Cream, Irresistible First Love, Full Moon Flash, Irresistible Vanilla Late and Irresistible Midnight Date. One shade is satin while the other is metallic.
Irresistible Vanilla Latte
Irresistible Midnight Date
The colours of the 3D eyeshadows are pretty but I found the texture to be slightly gritty and hard to blend. I found both duos had quite a bit of glitter fallout, which only got worse throughout the day. I definitely prefer Irresistible Vanilla Latte, as subtle neutrals are my thing. Irresistible Midnight Date was very patchy.
While these ain't no Hourglass, they're ok for drugstore shadows if you can spare a little extra blending time and can deal with glitter fallout.
