First there was the Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash, then there was the Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant, and now there's the Make Up For Ever Smoky Stretch Mascara ($29). Just launched, I had a sneak peek of the latest mascara at the MUFE Spring 2015 Preview. It's just become available at Sephora and MUFE Boutiques.
So what's so special about the Smoky Stretch Mascara? Well, according to MUFE, similar to the Smoky Lash and Smoky Extravagant mascara, it's meant to be smudge-proof and fast drying. What's new and different is that it contains Locust Tree Alginate Jelly that supposedly defines and separates lashes and Silk Protein to elongate and volumize.
The result? It works. It looks good. It's much more lengthening/defining than volumizing. The small brush with micro-bristles makes it easy to grab every lash and comb them out. I find that like other MUFE mascaras, the formula is very dark and intense, which looks great (and is a little bit of a pain to remove but totally worth it). This mascara volumizes, lengthens but doesn't droop. Clumsiness occurs after a fair 3 coats and it's not waterproof (nor does it claim to be) and smudges slightly after 9-10 hours.
Overall, an excellent mascara launch from Make Up For Ever. and I enjoy this one for its lengthening qualities.
