A couple weeks ago, I reviewed the Limited Edition Mary Kay Nail Lacquers ($10 each) but a few other noteworthy bits and pieces in the Mary Kay Light, Reinvented Collection available as of this February.
Mary Kay Light, Reinvented Collection Glossy Lip Oil Swatches in Brilliant Violet, Magenta Ray and Sheer Pink
The Mary Kay Glossy Lip Oil ($19 CAD) is a sheer lipgloss formulated with grape seed, avocado and jojoba oils. The texture and colour reminds me of the Too Faced Sweet Peach Creamy Lip Oils - sheer colour, comfortable, non-sticky and super juicy looking on the lips. I'm happy with two of the three shades. Brilliant Violet is a light purple and Magenta Ray is a neutral pink. I'm not a fan of Sheer Pink, which is a bit to milky for my taste.

Also part of the collection is two vivid and bright Eye Color Palettes ($26 CAD) - Glistening Horizon, a cool toned palette and Sunlight, a warm toned palette. While neither are particularly wearable, these are both so fun. The shadows are not tip top quality (the bright coloured shadows I've tried are from Kat Von D) but with the right primer and a little layering, the palettes are capable of creating some colourful and interesting looks.

All in all, Mary Kay's Light, Reinvented Collection is a beautifully colourful way to ring in the Spring season. Skip the eyeshadow palettes and check out the Nail Lacquers and Glossy Lip Oils if you're looking to try a few pieces from Mary Kay.
