Clinique Lash Power Flutter to Full Mascara

Go from flirty to full-on with the twist of a dial. The Clinique Lash Power Flutter to Full Mascara ($28 CAD) is Clinique's latest mascara featuring customizable volume. 

I really like the look of the mascara. Regardless of what option I choose, my lashes look full without becoming clumpy. Going from low to high there's not a ton of difference, perhaps a tad more volume - like if you applied 3 layers of mascara but in 1 go. I prefer the low volume option, as it keeps the thickness of my lashes looking more natural, rather than spiky. 

The mascara is ophthalmologist and allergy tested and free of fragrance, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, DBP and camphor. Further, it's appropriate for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers. Thus far, I've had no issues with sensitivity or itchiness. 

It's ultra-waterproof and smudge proof at the cost of being difficult to remove (without following the instructions). Clinique says the stuff stays on for 24 hours and there's no doubt in my mind that the claim is true. I find that the best way to remove the Flutter to Full Mascara is to splash fairly warm (almost hot) water onto your face and eyes to loosen up the product, then go in with a cotton pad loaded up with your favourite waterproof eye makeup remover.

Does it lengthen? YES. Does it volumize? YES. Does it clump? YES. Does it smudge? NOT AT ALL. Does it droop? SLIGHTLY. Is it easy to remove? NO.  

Overall,  I find the twisting dial to be gimmicky. That aside, the mascara's top notch.
