Another month, another drugstore mascara launch.
This July, it's the Rimmel Wonder'Lash Lift Me Up Mascara ($8.49), formulated with cucumber and "vitamins" (not exactly sure which ones) to condition lashes, wake you up with its fresh scent, and open the eyes with clump-free volume, lift and length.
Loving the colour of the tube and the look of the provocatively shaped wand. Rimmel calls it the "Precision Brush", which is meant to push lashes up and out, while wrapping every lash. For me, it's just big and wonky, making an utter mess of my lids.
On a brighter note, the mascara smells exactly like cucumbers and the scent doesn't bother my sensitive eyes. It does provide some length and volume but it's super wet, which makes my curled lashes droop. The "conditioning" feature of the vitamins means no-crunchiness on my lashes but this mascara is of no use if my lashes are pointing straight to the ground.
In summary.. Does it lengthen? Yes. Does it volumize? Yes. Does it clump? After 3 coats. Does it smudge? No Does it droop? YES. WHY. WHY. WHY.
Not impressed with this mascara. Note that my lashes suck beforehand so this quite possibly could work better for you. The Rimmel Scandaleyes Exxtreme Mascara and the Rimmel Wonder'Lash Mascara with Argan Oil are better options if you've got lashes like mine.
