MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Bronze Fusion in 10M and 15I

Summer is here and it's time to bust out the bronzer.

In May, Make Up For Ever released its Pro Bronze Fusion ($42) with the Pro Bronze Fusion Kabuki Brush ($38) at Sephora, Sephora online, and Make Up For Ever Boutiques. To be honest, these guys are much more impressive than the bronzer in thePro Sculpting Duos ($45) released a couple months prior.

The MUFE Pro Bronze Fusion is housed in a shiny (and pretty!) compact with a mirror. There was an amazing embossed pattern before I dug my brush into it. Regardless, the aesthetics are always appreciated.

Make Up For Ever says that it's a non-powdery gel formula that feels weightless on the skin. I concur.

You might look at the brush and think, ughh over priced brush so unnecessary. But no. Make Up For Ever is telling you something. The medium density wavy/straight hair combination of the Pro Bronze Fusion Kabuki brush is perfect for picking up the powder. I tried using a sparser powder brush, which didn't pick up enough product for it to show up on my face. That being said, you could definitely use something like the Real Techinques Expert Face Brush and get a similar effect to that of the Pro Bronze Fusion Kabuki for a lesser price.

The Pro Bronze Fusion is available in two finishes, a luminous matte and a soft iridescent and six shades, something for every skin tone. 10M (natural matte honey) is the lightest matte shade and 15I (soft iridescent amber) is the lightest iridescent shade . Upon watching, 10M is slightly warmer/oranger, while 15I is cooler but with an almost invisible golden shimmer. Both are quite sheer at first but most certainly buildable with a few layers.

On my skin, both shades look the same. The golden shimmer of 15I doesn't really show up and 10M doesn't appear as orange as it does in the pan. Just right. Since the Pro Bronze Fusion can be worn in sheer layers, using a light dusting of powder that looks seamless no-sun tan. Pack on more for the Snookie/Jersey Shore look. In terms of staying power, this stuff is WOWZERS. For example, on a very rainy day, I applied it around 1pm, spent quite a bit of time outdoors with Jenn and Vanessa and by about 8pm, Jenn said she could still see it on my face.

All in all, an excellent bronzer option from Make Up For Ever. The NYC Sunny Bronzer will forever be a favourite (for $3) but the Pro Bronze Fusion has many more colour options and lasts a bit longer!

What's your go-to summer bronzer?
