It was love at first smell. I've had my eye on the Tony Moly Peach Hand Cream ($8.99 CAD at Echoo.ca, $14 CAD at Urban Outfitters) since spotting it for the first time in a Korean beauty shop in San Francisco last year. Thanks to Echoo.ca, I've finally got it in my possession and need to take a few moments to rave.
The Tony Moly Peach Hand Cream reminds me of all the peach scented things that I love - peach pie, canned peaches, fuzzy peaches, the Vineyard Peach Body Butter from the Body Shop...I'm sure there's many more. The scent is spot on, perhaps a little artificial but not overbearing, nauseating or overly sweet. Just right. And even if you're not into peach scents, the Tony Moly Hand Creams are also available in Tangerine and Red Apple, with corresponding packaging.
Speaking of packaging, can we talk about how appropriate it is to have a peach-scented hand cream in a peach-shaped container? Genius, albeit it's a tad bulky (the size of a tennis ball) and when I pull it out of my bag, I get a few confused stares.
The product contains both apricot and peach extracts, as well as shea butter. According to Tony Moly, the apricot extract soothes the skin, while the peach extract has anti-aging properties that smooth and whiten the skin. Shea butter is a well-known ingredient for nourishing and moisturizing the skin, so no surprises there.
I've been using the Tony Moly Peach Hand Cream for a little over a week. While I can't say that I'm seeing my hands do a Benjamin Button and turn into baby's bottoms, the cream is lightweight and absorbs into the skin within a few minutes. Oh, and did I mention that I'm obsessed with the peach scent?
I rate the Tony Moly Peach Hand Cream 25/10 peaches. Commence unnecessary peach emoji pasting!
