Make Up For Ever Excessive Lash Mascara

Coming this Summer 2016... The Make Up For Ever Excessive Lash Mascara. It's another one of those exclusive sneak peeks that I received at Generation Beauty Toronto. According to Make Up For Ever, the Excessive Lash creates long lasting panoramic volume that fans out for a truly dramatic eye opening effect.

Make Up For Ever also says that the Excessive Lash Mascara has a brush that provides a no-clump application with an intense look and has a smudge-proof formulation. The brush is pretty standard albeit a little smaller than most, which is perfect for my itty bitty lashes and very small eyes. I haven't gotten mascara on my eyelid with this one thus far.

"Fanned out", "lengthened" and "separated"are the perfect words to describe the effects of the Make Up For Ever Excessive Lash Mascara. "Volumized" isn't really in there. Neither is "holds a curl"... the drooping is real after 3 hours.

I don't find the mascara to be particularly non-clumping. Two generous coats and the mascara definitely clumps on my sparse lashes. One coat is plenty for dramatic and eye-opening lashes. As promised, the mascara is smudge-proof. I wore it on a bike ride and it stayed pretty fresh looking for the rest of the day.

Does it lengthen? Definitely. Does it volumize? No. Does it clump? Yes. Does it smudge? No. Does it Droop? Yes. Is it Easy to Remove? Yes.

The Make Up For Ever Excessive Lash Mascara will likely be sold at the $25 - $30 CAD price point, so it's quite high up there for a product with a 3 to 6 month life time. It's a very good mascara formulation but not perfect if your lashes are straight, short and stubborn like mine.

What Make Up For Ever mascaras have you tried?
