The Too Faced Love Palette (Passionately Pretty Eye Shadow Collection) consists of 3 eyeshadow quints (15 eyeshadows total), a Perfect Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner, and six eye charts for six different looks.
Dearest, Cherish, Desire, Amorous, Adore
Pure Love is the lightest, warmest and most neutral set of the three in the Too Faced Love Palette. Dearest is a gold glitter. Cherish is a peach glitter. Desire is a satin warm brown-bronze. Amorous is a deep matte black-brown. Adore is a metallic copper. All of the shadows are smooth in texture but both Dearest and Cherish are very sparse glitters with a fair amount of fallout while Desire, Amorous and Adore are impressive in pigmentation.
True Love is a neutral-pink purple set, still very much on the wearable side of things, which is nice. Passion is a taupe-y purple with golden shimmer. Smitten is a matte pastel pink with silver glitter. Romance is a matte medium brown. Obsessed is a dark matte brown with nearly unnoticeable pink specks of shimmer (why they would put shimmer in a browbone colour.. who knows...). Sweetie Pie is a satin pink. All of the shadows are smooth in texture and some fallout. The two browns are pretty basic, while I find Passion to be particularly unique, as the gold glitter gives a sparkly wet look to the eyes. It looks even more fantastic when foiled.
Perfect Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner in Perfect Black, Darling, Devotion, Puppy Love, Everlasting, XOXO
Holy moly the Too Faced Perfect Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner in Perfect Black is ridiculously soft and super dark. Unfortunately, like most pencil eyeliners it smudges and transfers on my upper and lower lashlines.
Forbidden Love is sexy set in the quad and a bit of a mixed bag since it has both green tones and peachy gold colours. Darling is a satin mossy green with gold shimmer. Devotion is a light champagne peach glitter. Puppy Love is a satin cool medium brown. Everlasting is a black green with gold glitter. XOXO is a soft satin peach. Again, I'm loving the feeling of these Too Faced Shadows. Darling is the most unique and my favourite of the Forbidden Love set. Everlasting is also different from shadows in my collection but I don't typically opt for such dark colours. Devotion is quite sparse in pigmentation and XOXO appears with no colour and only a slight skintone sheen on my eyes.
Overall, the Too Faced Love Palette Passionately Pretty Eyeshadow Collection is colourful (without being garish) and versatile (with a good range of finishes) but the formulation of the shadows is bit hit and miss. The glitters were a bit sparse and unimpressive because they end up looking like specks of dust on my eyelids. I found the glitters were easiest to work with when packed onto the lid with the fingertips rather than using a brush. Also, some of the shadows didn't show up on my skin, while others were unique yet totally wearable for everyday.
If a bit of sparkle and glitter is your thing, this one's for you. If not, Too Faced has tons of other palettes with less glittery shades to choose from.
