ONE IN ONE OUT: Miracle 10 Skincare + Guerlain Blanc De Perle Range

Stick to a single skincare regimen until I run out. That was my skincare resolution at the beginning of the year. I'm blessed to have the opportunity to try so many different ranges, but it gets overwhelming and impossible to try 3 different brands' regimens simultaneously. After the past 6 months, I've come to realize clear that good skin comes from consistency, healthy eating, and listening to my skin's needs (in all honesty, the state of my skin is much more important to me than spitting out a crapload of haphazardly written reviews).

So from January to the beginning of June my regular morning/night routine consisted of all Miracle 10 products. I still used different brands and products for various face masks, once a week treatments,  intensive moisturizing treatments and my in-shower face scrub.

With the exception of the tiny bit of AHA Gel I leftover (which I'll finish up this month), I successfully completed one round of Miracle 10 Skincare. I still stand by all my comments on the individual products in my original review (see here).  In general, Miracle 10 is a line that delivers on the healthier and brighter, with noticeable dewiness, elasticity and radiance. My skin is better than my pre-Miracle 10 state. I've noticed lightening of acne scarring and better regulation of my t-zone oiliness. I still got monthly hormonal breakouts and some spots from eating fast food, making additional skin treatments necessary. There's also an SPF sun screen in the range, which I didn't use because I'm hardly ever in the sun and I use an SPF foundation on the daily. Would I do Miracle 10 Skincare over again? Definitely. It's also a Toronto-based brand, so all the more reason.

The products: Miracle 10 Cleanser II Deep Exfoliating Wash ($39), Miracle 10 Solution 1 Clarifying Solution ($39), Miracle 10 AHA Gel I Advanced Exfoliating Gel ($59), Miracle 10 Light Serum Vitamin Enriched Moisturizer ($69)

Total Cost: $206 for the cleanser, toner, AHA treatment, and moisturizer

Where to buy it: http://www.miracle10.com (international shipping available) and Miracle 10 Boutiques in Yorkville and Mississauga

IN: Guerlain Blanc De Perle Range

I received the Blanc De Perle range in January 2015. Thus far, I've only tested the White P.E.A.R.L. Cleanser and the White P.E.A.R.L. Sleeping Mask, both of which I've used less than 5 times. My first impressions are positive.

In the case of the Guerlain Blanc De Perle range, "to whiten" does not mean "to look more pale", it's more so about reducing dark spots, brightening dull skin, hydration, and refining pores. There are a couple more products in the range (a night cream, refreshing cream, whitening essence treatment) but I want to finish up a few serums/lotions I'm using, so I'll be slowly adding in more Blanc de Perle items into the mix later in the future.

The products: Guerlain Blanc de Perle White P.E.A.R.L. Cleanser ($65), Guerlain Blanc de Perle White P.E.A.R.L. Essence in Lotion ($78), Guerlain Blanc de Perle White P.E.A.R.L. Sleeping Mask ($100), Guerlain Blanc de Perle White P.E.A.R.L. Fusion Day & Night Treatment ($260)

Total Cost: $503 for the cleanser, toner, treatment, and sleeping mask

Where to buy it: Guerlain Boutiques, Sephora, Hudson's Bay, Shoppers Drug Mart, etc.

...and so the skincare journey continues.
